In questa pagina vi presento una città in cui ho lavorato (20 anni fa) si tratta di Domodossola, oggi in provincia di Verbania, ai miei tempi in provincia di Novara. Si tratta di una città al confine con la Svizzera tedesca, poco dopo Domodossola c’è la galleria del Sempione. Si tratta di uno snodo ferroviario importante per tutto il traffico verso la Svizzera e la Germania. Il treno che prendevo per andare a Domodossola era il Roma-Basilea, partiva la sera da Roma e arrivava a Domodossola alla 5.30 del mattino. Avevo una casa vicina alla ferrovia una tipica casa ossolana con tanti appartamenti che si aprono su ballatoi comuni esterni (come ancora si vedono in certe zone della vecchia Milano). In this page I'll show you a little town I worken in several years ago (20 and something), I'm talking about Domodossola, now of the Verbania's province , at my times of the Novara's province. It's a little town near the Italian-Swiss (german Swiss) border, just some kilometers out of Domodossola, there is Sempione gallery. The town is an important international rail station for all the traffic toward Switzerland and Germany. I used to take the Roma-Basilea trein to get to Domodossola, it usad to start from Rome in the evening and to get to Domodossola at 5.30 in the morning. I got there a little house near the rail station, a typical Ossola house with several apartments that open on a common external balcony (as you can see also in some old buildings of the old Milan)

Seguono cinque diverse foto relative alla stazione internazionale: la facciata in due viste, una banchina interna alla stazione e due tipiche immagini di treni in arrivo, il treno verde italiano e il treno rosso svizzero. Ho viaggiato sull’euro-city Basilea-Roma circa 50 volte in un senso e altrettante in senso inverso. Tornavo a Roma da Domodossola ogni domenica, partivo alle 15.15 del sabato e arrivavo a Roma alle 22.30 e ripartivo la sera della domenica. Quando venivo a Roma la domenica, passavo più tempo sul treno che a casa.
Below there are five different pictures of the international station: the prospect in two different views, an internal sidewalk and two typical images of trains entering the station, the green Italian and the red Swiss train. I went back and forth on the Rome-Basilea train about 50 times. I went back to Rome from Domodossola every Sunday. To get to Rome and to get back in time did mean I spent much more time on the train than at my house.
